Ulkaa Note
Quick Keep-style cards and a real Markdown editor in one free app. Nest pages, link notes, share with people or a public link, and keep writing offline. For you, and for every workspace you belong to.
See it in action
These are the actual Ulkaa Note screens, replayed so you can see what each feature does.
Slash command menu
Insert headings, lists, tables, callouts, toggles, code and more without reaching for the mouse.
Meeting notes
Add attendees and an agenda, link the note to a calendar event, and turn action items into tasks.
Bookmarks
Save a web link as a note with a title, picture and short preview, so you can find it again later.
What it does
Get a thought down before it is gone, then tidy it later.
A "Take a note…" bar that expands in place: title, text or checklist lines, a colour and tags. Press c anywhere to start.
Keep-style cards in a masonry grid, or a compact list. Pinned notes stay on top.
Turn a note into a checklist and tick items off right on the card.
Set a time on any note and Ulkaa notifies you once when it comes due.
Drop, paste or upload pictures straight into a note. They load lazily and stay within the page width.
Bring notes over from Markdown files, Google Keep Takeout, Evernote ENEX and Notion exports, with a progress bar and a summary of anything skipped.
Pages, tags, colours and a trash that forgives, so nothing gets lost.
Write down a decision with how sure you are, then review it later. Decision Stats shows how well your confidence matched what happened, which reviews are waiting and which tags you miss most.
Put pages inside pages as deep as you like, and move them around from the sidebar tree.
Label notes with tags (with counts in the sidebar) and give each one a colour.
Pin what matters, archive what is done, and restore anything from the 30-day trash.
Search titles and content at once. Press / to jump to the search box.
Star the notes you open all the time. Favourites and your recently opened notes sit in the sidebar.
A real Markdown editor for notes that grow into documents.
Write in plain Markdown, toggle to a formatted read view, and let autosave keep every keystroke.
Link to another note with [[note:…]] and see every note that links back to this one.
Read earlier versions of a note and restore one. A restore can itself be undone.
Type / to insert headings, lists, tables, callouts, toggles, code, maths, images, note links, mentions and dates without leaving the keyboard.
Callouts (> [!NOTE]), collapsible toggles, tables, syntax-highlighted code and KaTeX maths, all in plain Markdown.
Mention a person, or write @2026-10-01 for a date chip, inside a note.
Give people the access they need, or publish a link you can take back.
Share by name or username as Viewer, Commenter or Editor, and change or remove access at any time.
Publish a read-only link with an optional expiry date, copy it, and revoke it whenever you like.
Start a thread on selected text, reply, resolve it, and mention people. Updates appear live, with an unresolved count on the toolbar and the card.
Edit together in real time: see each other’s cursors and changes instantly.
Commented text stays highlighted inline, so you can see what each thread is about.
Offline-first, for you and for every workspace you belong to.
Notes are saved on your device first and sync in the background when you are signed in.
Private notes for you, and shared notes inside each Ulkaa Workspace you belong to, kept apart.
/ for search, c for a new note, Esc to go back from the editor.
Light, dark and the Ulkaa colour themes, following the rest of your account.
Start a meeting note from a calendar event, and see note reminders on your calendar.
Action items and checklist items flow into Ulkaa Task.

A new writing prompt each day for when you do not know where to start. Answer it, or ignore it and write about anything.
A flame counts the days you write. Your first entry of the day also earns your Halum pet some XP and coins, and you can turn that off.

Lined, dotted, grid or plain paper, four writing styles including handwriting, ten colour themes, and a gratitude list on every page.
Put emoji stickers and GIPHY GIFs anywhere on the page, then drag, turn and resize them. Add photos to an entry like any note image.
